I went to Mexico three summers. The first and third times we stayed at Vida Abudante. It was a lot smaller back then. One of the things our mission team did (this was back when I attended a church, before my beliefs shifted to that of energy) was to help build a church. That meant pouring a floor. Well, 17-year-old me had no idea how to do any of that. We mixed cement with shovels, walking in a circle while we mixed. This isn’t from that trip, unfortunately. We didn’t have cameras in our phones back then. Of course, nobody really had cell phones back then either. It was crazy. I pushed too hard and ended up severely dehydrated. We just couldn’t keep up with the workers we were trying to help.
